How much does it cost to be a member? It only costs $1.00 per day to enjoy the benefits of the only "high exposure" website for mature age jobseekers. Initial joining is for 3 months, followed by recurring 90 day subscriptions, until you decide to cancel your membership or your credit card expires. You can cancel your membership at any time after the initial 3 months, however, members will most likely continue their membership to ensure they remain available for new job offers and other on going promotions and benefits. What is my Account Password used for? Your password is unique to you and provides you with the ability to access your member account. Only you will have access to your personal details, resume editing etc. Please note that it is best to use a different password for the "Publish" / "Hide" feature. Back to top
What is my Resume Password used for? This password controls access to your resume web address. Example: www.boomerjobs.com.au/cv/johndoe. When you give out your web address to a possible employer you will also need to give them the password. You should change the password regularly. Back to top
How do I apply for jobs using my website address? When you apply for a job via email, a member can give their web address. We suggest that the following text example be used in your letter:- "Please click on the web address www.boomerjobs/cv/johndoe to view my resume. You will need the password AAA333 to gain access". You may also apply using the simple application menue item. Back to top
How do I "SHOW" / "HIDE" or "REMOVE" my resume from the database? This special feature allows you to show your paticular skill and experience to all possible employers. You can "SHOW" your full resume or "HIDE" your personal details if you wish. You can also "REMOVE" your resume at any time and as many times as you like. Back to top
If I "SHOW" my resume what does an employer see? When your work preferences match those of an employers search, your name will be shown on a list. An employer can then click on your name to see your basic details including a photo if it was provided. From this page the employer can then access your full resume and place this on their short list. If you choose to "HIDE" your personal details, and current job and references, then a "Confidential" message will be shown. Back to top
How do I hide my personal details? You simply "activate" this special feature in the member menu. When used, you can "HIDE" your name, current / last employer, photo and references and replace them with the word "confidential". Back to top
What are my work preferences used for? These preferences produce the results in the "Employers Search". You are recomended to be honest with your information and use the industry catagories that industries know best. This will give the Employer the best chance of finding your resume. Back to top
How do employers contact me? Employers should contact you via your prefered method. BOOMER JOBS has no control over how employers make contact, however, they should adhere to the way you requested. Please note that employers will know your email address if contact is made in this way. Back to top
